Background
1986-90: Transferring from Vidal Sassoon in the United Kingdom, Alex quickly ascended to the highly respected and sought-after position of Artistic Director at the Sassoon salon in Chicago. In charge of staff and assistant training, quality control and leading the creative team, Chicago won two back-to-back company awards putting the salon high on the Sassoon map.
1990-92: Alex joined Heidi’s Salons as their National Director of Education. While maintaining a formidable client base, Ioannou travelled the country setting up training programs and identifying creative leadership for the 40-salon strong company.
1992-2020: During a twenty-eight year growth, TRIO opened two more locations, quadrupled its size and started its own professional product line! Participating in the world renowned International Alternative Hair Show two years in a row and boasting numerous NAHA nominees and winners!
2021-23: Ioannou took on the role of Managing Director at Ooh la la, Salon & Wellness located in Ocean Reef, Key Largo, Florida.
2024-Present: Coaching and Teaching at numerous salons and cosmetology schools, Alex also maintains a formidable client base behind the chair, in Lincoln Park and Naperville.
